I should update this more.

The quarter's over already?  That's crazy.  Heh it's been an amazing one though, very grateful for all the people I've met, all the friends I've made, all the good times we've had, etc.  Spent the last few days visiting some of my buddies at Middle Earth, as well as driving to the airport 6 times in a span of only two days taking people
to John Wayne, haha.  I know that airport way too well now.

The rest of the weekend was a lot of fun.  Glad I got to hang out with a lot of you guys one more time before we leave.

I'm in LA right now for the wedding in a few days, heh this city is really crowded and congested, I can't imagine living here but it's fun to visit every now and then.

Is it really December already?  Can't believe it's this time of year again, with my birthday in.. only 6 days?  Wow, and Christmas not long after.  Heh, time flies when you're having fun. =D

Can't wait to see all of my high school buddies again, each and every one of you, haha it'll be great hanging out with you again, just like it was over Thanksgiving.  Definitely looking forward to you guys, and hopefully I'll get to see my UCI buddies as well, haha I miss you guys already.

Anyways, Shirley's calling and I love her dearly so I'm gonna go talk to her, haha see you guys later. =D

So I found out this morning that my classmate died yesterday.  I wasn't really close with him but I did know him a little bit, and it's just a big shock, you know?  So unexpected, I remember him telling me before about his plans for his future; he was changing his major to pursue a different career and was planning on getting his pilot's license in the next few years, etc., and it's just sad to see someone so young with such a bright future pass away so suddenly like that.  What sucks is that he was so freakin nice and friendly, it's just sad to see people like that go.  I guess it just makes me look at life totally differently, realizing how short it is and how we shouldn't fill it up with trivial things.  Like in high school, I was always mad and upset about friends and girls and my parents and whatnot, but as serious and hurtful as those problems got, they look so trivial and stupid now in the bigger picture of life.  Yeah people do you wrong, yeah people piss you off and screw you over but all of those things seem so futile and stupid now compared to what's actually important in life.  It also makes me realize that I shouldn't hold grudges against people, cuz you never know when they'll disappear.  I feel like an idiot wasting so many of my years living in stress and anxiety over stupid things; life is way too short to spend on stuff like that.

Anyways, in other news, tonight the boys and I decided to cook dinner for the girls, haha it was fun.  I thought it would only take an hour to cook but, since there were 22 of us, we had to cook tons and it ended up taking 2 hours.  It was funny cuz the girls arrived at the apartment in fancy dresses and with their hair done, it looked like we were going to prom or something, and we decided to play a joke and just set the table with a bunch of Cup of Noodles laid out, we even put a hot water thing in the middle.  Haha and then when we prayed before the meal Matt said something like, "Thank You God for these cup of noodles, for blessing us with the convenience of making a meal in like 3 minutes."  The girls looked pretty disappointed before we told them it was a joke and brought out the real food, haha it was all really good and they all liked it a lot.  Then we played Battle of the Sexes and went to Cha to hang out for a couple hours, it was pretty fun.

Next week we're all coming home for Thanksgiving, that'll be fun I think.  See you guys soon. =)

"Once you move out, you'll soon realize that there's no better place than home."

"I know you're excited to get out of the house now, but once you're actually gone, you'll see how tough it really is and you'll miss home more than ever."

"When you finally start living on your own, you'll be in for a rude awakening."

These are all things that my parents and other adults told me before I left, and I'm really happy to say that they were WRONG and that those were ALL LIES, and that college and independent living is everything I hoped for it to be.

So if you can't tell, college has been going really well so far.  The year started out rough for me but everything's definitely turned around for the better.  Living away from home has been so awesome, I love it so much and I don't think I've ever been happier or more personally satisfied than I've been since I moved here.  I love finally being able to be truly independent, to be able to take care of myself and live my own way.  I love being self-sufficient and not being confined by the structure of the household.
I think back at all the stuff I had to deal with living at home and I shudder and wonder how I lasted so long.  Never again do I want to live at home--I don't miss it at all.

I find it hard to write in this xanga nowadays.  Back in high school I would always write in it whenever something fun and awesome happened, but in college, so many fun and awesome things happen on a daily basis that I don't even bother trying to write about them all.  I've met a lot of great people, made some really awesome friends, and have had a lot of fun.  People say high school is the funnest time of your life, but I don't see how anything can beat what college has to offer.  I'm really, really grateful for all the great friends I've made and all the fun times I've experienced, and I hope everyone else is having a good time too!  I definitely miss my old buddies and I'll see you guys in a few weeks come Thanksgiving.

Is it just me or did everyone go home this weekend?   Campus felt like a ghost town and I thought this weekend would kinda suck but luckily those of us still here managed to have fun.  Friday night was the Edge, which was fun as always.  I didn't expect to see Danielle, Grace, Jay and Ed there but that was a nice surprise. =D  Afterwards we headed to Jon's apartment which was huge, it was like the size of a house and it managed to fit over 40 of us in it, it was that big.  We hung out watching movies, chasing each other with dart guns and we cooked pizookies, haha it was awesome.

Friday morning I was surprised to find out that Calvin, Lawrence, Jenna and Christie from UCSD were coming to visit!  We headed to the dorms and met up with all our friends there, had lunch and went to the Spectrum, we even got to go on the giant ferris wheel.  Heh then I went to dinner with Calvin Ana and Lawrence, it was nice hanging out with St. Francis buddies again.  Then that night we were just all over the place, visiting a bunch of dorms, playing games, doing random stuff, haha it was a fun time.  At 3AM on our way back from VDC Norte, it was dark so Jenna and I accidentally drove my whole car completely over the sidewalk and over a lawn while a cop was watching us but surprisingly he didn't pull us over or think we were crazy.  Before we knew it the sun was coming up, heh it was our first all-nighter of college.  Everyone started falling asleep around 7AM so me, Kelen and Andrew went on an early-morning beach adventure, we tried waking people up to come along but that didn't go well heh so it was male bonding time for us, which was great cuz Andrew and Kelen are awesome.  The beach is really nice in the morning, then we went to this beachside restaurant and it was really good too.  Then I was crazy busy all throughout Sunday but I was so tired that I kept falling asleep wherever I went, haha that was interesting.

And on a random side note, college midterms are horrible and they take forever to study for.   Good luck, everyone...

Oh, and also a bunch of us have been getting into webcamming lately, so if you have one and you wanna chat then let me know.   And if you use Skype or Windows Live then let me know your name and stuff and I'll add you, this webcam stuff is addictive.
